1100 Bagby St. Houston, Texas

The second half of the twentieth century brought unprecedented changes in the visibility and public perception of gay. lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) people in the United States. THOUGHOUT! Houston’s GLBT History tells the story of the GLBT culture in Houston during this transitional time. The exhibit explores the great diversity of a larger community made up of distinct cultural groups, each with its own identity and developmental history. The items featured present a bold and frank look at the social, cultural, and political experiences of Houston’s GLBT community.
